1. TRAMPOLINE Café

TRAMPOLINE Café, located in Camden Passage in Angel, was established by the founder of NEMI Teas Pranav Chopra.

At TRAMPOLINE Café, they firmly believe that everyone, irrespective of whether they are economic migrants or refugees, deserves equal opportunities as all citizens to have a good quality of life and the opportunity to contribute to our society and its development.

They created a ‘Changing Journeys’ programme in collaboration with The Hotel School and Groundwork London. This 10-week hospitality training programme takes place at TRAMPOLINE Café and helps refugees to learn a variety of customer service skills, improve their English, and integrate into the UK workforce.

After successfully finishing their training at TRAMPOLINE Café, they place their trainees into full-time jobs with their employment partner, Thomas Franks.

2. Farm Girl

Farm Girl, established in Notting Hill in 2015, is a vibrant collection of health-focused cafes and restaurants located in West-London.

The beginning of the very first Farm Girl occurred when an Australian girl, Rose Hood, stepped off the farm into West London. She noticed that there was a lack of good coffee and healthy food options, and therefore she created something which would soon evolve into one of London's best brunch cafes.

Currently, Farm Girl offers a wholesome and organic menu and an amazing coffee! Plus, the interiors of the café have a really cool vibe.

3. Redemption Roasters

The story of the coffee shop began in 2016 when the founders were approached by The Ministry of Justice with an opportunity to establish a roastery in a prison aimed at training residents and lowering reoffending rates.

Redemption Roasters has the UK’s first prison-based coffee roastery. They provide training in the coffee industry, both inside and outside of prison which then leads to employment at one of their coffee shops in London where you can enjoy their great coffee, pastries, and brunches.

4. Fair Shot Café

Fair Shot Café, located in Covent Garden, was first established in 2021. It is a social enterprise helping people with learning disabilities through specialty coffee.

They provide an opportunity for young adults with a learning disability or autism to obtain real-life work experience via their Hospitality Supported Internship Programme. After completing the programme, Fair Shot Café collaborates with their employment partners to support their graduates in settling into their dream jobs.

As for their menu, Fair Shot Café offers a wide selection of exceptional coffee, cakes, pastries, and a tasty brunch menu.

5. Old Spike Roastery

Old Spike Roastery, established in 2014, was the first speciality coffee roastery which operated as a social enterprise in London.

They currently serve a wide range of businesses and individuals and have also partnered up with their sister company ‘Change Please’ with the aim to provide a full barista training academy to the homeless.

They are dedicated to sourcing speciality-grade green coffees straight from origin, guided by the principles of direct trade, quality, and seasonality. Their commitment is to serve coffee which is as fresh and seasonal as possible.
