TRAMPOLINE Cafe Work Experience Scheme

TRAMPOLINE Cafe: Work Placement

We recently welcomed our latest placement student from Hotel School, Jomhor.

Jomhor left his home in Iran where he was an accomplished music teacher, teaching students of all ages. After arriving in the UK, he suffered homelessness for 1 year, a common issue for refugees struggling with the complexities of shared housing. Finding it difficult to obtain steady work as a music teacher, Jomhor joined the Hotel School programme where he is now gaining valuable skills and experience in the hospitality industry.

Whilst with us at TRAMPOLINE Cafe, Jomhor will get to experience hospitality on the front line, but in a controlled and supportive environment, hopefully leading to full-time employment in the near future. This employment is a key part of his journey, enabling him to one day, return to his true calling; music.

Thank you as always to Royal College of Nursing - Company and Be Seasoned for providing us with the platform to support Jomhor and the wider UK refugee community.

And lastly, thank you to Afrah; Trampoline's coffee trainer and refugee mentor who continues to offer her guidance, kindness and support to all those who walk through the door.
